Working Environment: Hours: Monday – Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Primary Function

To provide administrative support to the Assistant State’s Attorneys and Investigators assigned to the Domestic Violence Division.

Physical Requirements:

Light Work: The position requires the ability to stand or walk frequently, often for extended periods. You may need to lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 20 pounds regularly, and occasionally heavier items. The job may also involve a significant amount of walking or standing relative to sedentary roles.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate phone inquiries to/from Assistant States Attorneys and Investigators.
  • Provide assistance to Investigators in the field.
  • Maintain various database systems in support of Domestic Violence operations and data enter information.
  • Utilize SharePoint to provide operational support to Domestic Violence team.
  • Type, file, fax, copy, scan and email.
  • Assist in the preparation and production of monthly and yearly reports.
  • Attend and participate in regularly scheduled meetings.
  • Conduct background checks using LEADS database.
  • Create charts, directories and documents as needed.
  • Maintain Domestic Violence Unit hard copy documents and electronic files.
  • Cover reception desk as needed.
  • Regular interaction with State’s Attorney’s Office staff members and outside agencies.
  • Regular access to confidential information.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • The candidate must have the ability to multi-task and possess excellent grammar, organizational and communication skills; written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; SharePoint, Outlook, Word, Excel.
  • The candidate must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with highly sensitive information.

Preferred:

  • Completed 40 hrs. of Domestic Violence Training
  • Working knowledge of Odyssey, Leads, BPM, and I-Clear.
