Administrative Supervisor - Child Support Services

Salary: $92,498

Division/Unit: Child Support Services

Primary Function: To supervise administrative support staff, assigned to the Child Support unit, and ensure workflow operations meet the needs of the unit, in addition to providing support to the Office Manager and Assistant State’s Attorney’s assigned to the Child Support Enforcement Division.

Working Environment: Hours: Monday – Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Physical Requirements:

Medium Work: The position requires the ability to stand or walk frequently, often for extended periods. You may need to lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 20 pounds regularly, and occasionally heavier items. The job may also involve a significant amount of walking or standing relative to sedentary roles.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Administer and communicate procedures, policies and guidelines to staff.
  • Organize and adjust operations to ensure all deadlines are met and work is completed in a timely manner
  • Assist the Assistant State’s Attorney’s on child support procedures and help answer questions
  • Enforce office policies and directives.
  • Provide necessary training
  • Administer discipline when necessary
  • Prepare performance reviews
  • Initiate or suggest plans to motivate your team in achieving work goals
  • Maintain CC Time for staff
  • Ensure daily work is completed in an efficient and productive manner
  • Assist staff with the daily workload
  • Works closely with the Office Manager and Administrative Supervisors to create new opportunities for efficiencies within the division.
  • Interacts regularly with State’s Attorney’s Office Employees
  • Interacts with the public
  • Interacts with various outside/partner agencies
  • Regular access to confidential information
  • Perform additional responsibilities as needed

Qualifications:

Required:

  • The candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task.
  • The candidate must be able to manage a high-volume caseload daily.
  • The candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word applications.

Preferred:

  • Working knowledge of Clerks, SharePoint, and CARES systems.
  • Working knowledge of Odyssey and eFileIL
  • Typing speed of 50+wpm.
