Primary Function:

Coordinate Sexual Assault MDT project, including services provided via multi-disciplinary team approach as well as facilitate communication between SAO, social service providers, law enforcement, probation, and community members. Analyze statistical data and establish data collection plan. Manage the day-to-day operations of the MDT, including (but not limited to) planning, coordination, and communication of steering committee, SAAG, monthly case review meetings, and special events.

Physical Requirements:

Light Work: The position requires the ability to stand or walk frequently, often for extended periods. You may need to lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 20 pounds regularly, and occasionally heavier items. The job may also involve a significant amount of walking or standing relative to sedentary roles.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate all activities related to the Sexual Assault MDT project
  • Analyze statistical data to identify trends, outcomes and relevant information for project logic model
  • Establish a data collection plan in conjunction with steering committee, including researchers and IT personnel from those organizations
  • Centrally organize and analyze data to support the grant outcome measures and focus areas
  • Collect and maintain statistics including but not limited to specific grant outcome reporting measurements
  • Maintain consistent and accurate documentation including agendas, minutes, action items, lessons learned, correspondence between grant and community partners, and all grant activities
  • Communicate regularly with all partners, including personnel at the highest level of each partner agency
  • Serve as support to all MDT partners, including the Chicago Police Department, Resilience, LifeSpan, and Cook County Adult Probation, take direction from all MDT partners
  • Manage program outcomes and deliverables, ensuring all deadlines are met
  • Set up and facilitate all meetings (steering committee and SAAG) and all communication between members, follow up with action items to ensure completion prior to next meeting
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports regarding program activity, as required.
  • Assist with creation and development of program marketing including social media communication, blog posts, and program summaries for fundraising purposes
  • Disseminate information to membership of SAAG
  • Oversee planning and implementation of cross training in which members of each steering committee agency become exposed to the basic policies and practices of the other core team agencies
  • Oversee planning and implementation of all grant mandated training including data keeping for attendance and evaluations
  • Lead monthly case review meetings and provide support to all attendees, ensuring that identified trends and practices are communicated to steering committee and SAAG, follow up with partner agencies to ensure identified changes in practice are done.
  • Coordinate and delegate tasks, develop timeline/set deadlines to ensure efficiency and work with ICJIA to obtain/develop above data system
  • Building relationships with key community partners and responding to their concerns
  • Communicate trial observation opportunities with healthcare and community partners
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Required:

  • The candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree in a relevant program (sociology, psychology, women’s studies or related field).
  • The candidate must be an empathetic listener with knowledge of the rights of victims as defined by state and national law.
  • Must have excellent grammar, organizational and communication skills.
  • The candidate must be able to work flexible hours.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word applications.
  • The candidate must have a specialized knowledge of violence against women and issues impacting victims of crime. Candidate must have three years’ experience working with victims of sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence or stalking as well as be forty-hour trained in domestic violence or sexual assault and have ability to demonstrate cultural competency.
  • Candidate must be able to work independently, have the ability to multi-task, and be able to travel to various locations as needed.

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of CCSAO databases and/or ability to learn is important.
  • Bilingual Proficiency (especially Spanish, Polish, Arabic).
  • Knowledge of immigration law and relief issues preferred.
  • Prior grant compliance and monitoring experience is preferred.
