Data Coordinator - Alternative Prosecutions

Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 (grant funded)

Additional Information: The term of this position is subject to grant availability and can be terminated at any time due to discontinuation or expiration of funding.

Working Environment: Full time position Monday- Friday, Hours 8:30 am – 4:30 pm

Primary Function:

Coordinate Gun Accountability Program (GAP), including services provided via multi-disciplinary team approach as well as facilitate communication between the States Attorney’s Office, community and nonprofit providers, law enforcement, pre-trial services, and community members. Work with ASAs in Alternative Prosecutions Unit to design data systems and processes that capture relevant data in the GAP court and other diversion courts. Analyze statistical data including recidivism statistics and create and update slide decks on each diversion court. Assist with managing the day-to-day operations of the Gun Accountability Program, including (but not limited to) assisting with planning, coordination, and communication with stakeholders and law enforcement.

Physical Requirements:

Light Work: The position requires the ability to stand or walk frequently. You may need to lift, carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 20 pounds regularly, and occasionally heavier items. The job may also involve a significant amount of walking or standing relative to sedentary roles.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate all activities related to the Gun Accountability Program court.
  • Work with ASAs to understand day to day operations, current workflow, pain points, and information generation.
  • Develop an iterative approach towards data collection and making data more actionable for the unit.
  • Develop an organizational system for unit data.
  • Manage projects focused on data within the unit.
  • Support internal data requests.
  • Assist in the development of data sets and analysis for the public and partner researchers.
  • Analyze statistical data to identify trends, outcomes, and relevant information.
  • Create and Organize GAP and other diversion court documents, reports, and files.
  • Prepare quarterly and year-end reports regarding program activity, as required.
  • Assist with the creation and development of program outreach to community partners.
  • Build relationships with key community partners and respond to their questions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • The candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree or related course work.
  • The candidate must have experience with data management and analysis.
  • The candidate must understand how to design meaningful data visualization.
  • The candidate must be organized with high attention to detail.
  • The candidate must have excellent grammar, organizational, computer and communication skills.
  • The candidate must have proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other applications.
  • Candidate must be able to work independently, can multi-task, and be able to travel to various locations as needed.
  • Candidate must have strong interpersonal and communication skills, specifically with the ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience.

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of CCSAO databases.
  • Knowledge of criminal law or the criminal justice system.
  • Prior grant compliance and monitoring experience.
